Add2basket

When Andrew was 19, his dream was to travel the world as a DJ. During his studies he took a full time job, working as a bellboy in a 5 star hotel in Budapest. Any tips earnt went straight on buying vinyl. While working there, he met a number of A-list DJs and also carried their record bags. A chance encounter with Harry Choo Choo Romero during one of his visits led Andrew to become one of the resident DJs for Pacha Budapest. It was the place he met Shootie from the Monkz project who helped Andrew out with knowlege about music software. Every time Andrew came up with some nice and unique ideas and draft they just started to collaborate together. As they spent more and more time in the studio, it became clear they had to name their project. Andrew wanted a catchy name, something people meet everyday. The name he adopted comes from online record stores: add to basket. With practise, Andrew started to produce on his own more frequently and developed his unique and typical “add2basket sound”. He is enjoying the friendship and full support from Desyn Masiello, Luke Fair, Sultan, Ricky Ryan, Paolo Mojo, Parham, Tom Morgan, Jody Wisternoff and so on...

One of electronic music’s most prestegious labels, Alternative Route Recordings, is just about to release his EP entitled “Miss the Word”. With this release Andrew is part of the AR family together with such names and releases like Chable and Bonicci - Ride, or Chris Lake - Changes. Shlomi Aber and Ricky Ryan’s fast rising imprint, Sickwatona signed his remix of Monkz - Spacedizko as well. In 2006 he also established his own, uprising label called Add2Basket Records.

Thanks to his original productions and high frequency of remixes, Andrew’s career is just about to take off. He’s getting more and more requests from clubs and already travelling the world as a DJ just how it was in his dreams, while never forgetting where he came from.

IDJ Magazine “Hungarian producer / DJ Add2Basket has delivered a wonderful double-header picked up by Desyn Masiello’s label. The title track is timeless electronic house with vocal samples, warm synths and strings and an underlying funk to the whole cut. ‘Kind of Magic’ is more of the same loveliness with similar ingredients in play. Add2Basket? I would if I were you.” ****

Nick Warren “This is cool, have been playing it out.”

Jody Wisternoff Way Out West “Add2Basket doing what he does best, uplifting strings, beautiful pianos and rolling basslines. ‘Miss the Word’ is top class.”

Luke Fair “Love the track, playing it everywhere.”

DJ Sultan “Add2Basket back once again with a superb EP with two stand out tracks that are a must play. Miss the world has been an essential tune in the first hour of my sets the past month and as with all a2b tracks it always gets the crowd groovin and movin. ‘Kind of Magic’ has turned out to be my favourite tune of the month and the impact it has had on the dance floor has been huge to say the least. Great grooves, beautiful melodies and one that I will definitely be rockin.”

DJ Fountain “Brilliant track, awesome sound! Will definitely play this for a while. In my top ten.”

Hernan Cerbello “Really awesome vibe. Like the way Andrew is woking with his music. Solid bassline, melodic synths. Will play it for sure.”

Rick Ryan “Always top class charming melodic grooves from Add2Basket – now this one is from another planet! Driving soulfull bomb, I feel like kissing my grandparents on the dancefloor.”

Osamu M “Amazing! Wicked sexy nite music!”

Pako & Frederick “Love the bassline.”

Steve Parry (3 Beat/Juice FM) “Sounds solid. Summer grooves and they sound great.”

DJ Tarkan “This track is so dancy and melodic. I can listen to it a thousand times, play it a thousand times without getting bored of it. And can’t not dance while playing it!”

Lucas Abadi “Totally stunning, A2Basket’s most solid track so far. One of those tunes where the whole of it means more than some of the parts. I’ll be crying in the shower for months to this one. Playing this everywhere.”

Jamie Jay (Quantize Radio) “Will support this one on the radio show – both tracks are top and Add 2 Basket remain on top form.”
